Children's author and puppeteer Sarah Lamstein uses her picture book I LIKE YOUR BUTTONS! - the story of a young girl who compliments her teacher and starts a chain reaction of good feeling - as a springboard for a program about kindness. Reading the story both frontwards and backwards, with the illustrations visible to all on a big screen, helps the children figure out why the characters do the nice things they do. The kind and thoughtful puppet Mr. Bingley, interacts with the children, who find themselves eager to be as nice to him as he is to them. Music and slides accompany this gentle yet lively presentation.
