Panels By Geekgal- Anime 101: Or isn't Otaku a kind of Sushi?

Program Categories
Educational Programs, Miscellaneous

Audience Age
Teen-adult

Description

In this program we explore the world of Japanese Animation. The history of the art form is covered, as well as genres, stylistic and visual components. We talk also about American anime fan culture. Visual aids and clips are included to help illustrate the wonderful and unique world of a film style that is becoming more and more popular in America, and all over the world.

The program is all age appropriate, but due to the style (it is mostly a lecture format) I suggest it for 13 and up.

Fee
$150.

There is an additional travel cost of .20 a mile, over 10 miles from Springfield Ma.

Group Size
Any

Program Length
1.5 Hours

Facility Requirements

Enough seats for the size of audience you wish, and a private room helps keep the noise level down for the rest of the library. I will also need a projector and a connection for a PC laptop
