Mifflin Lowe, noted humorist and author, brings his children's CD and Doubleday book, "Beast by the Bunches" to life by performing songs and poems about the strange but true names for groups of animals. By employing a wide array of musical styles such as country and western, folk, jazz, rock, rap and celtic, Lowe uses his wit and playfulness to bring these animals to life. Lowe's performance also draws on his original stories "Wilton Wilberry's Christmas Wishing Well," "The King Who Forgot His Underpants" and "Cowboy Kareem" to captivate little listeners and grown-ups alike.

“Your performance for the children at Newport Public Library was outstanding. The children loved your songs. They loved your story "The Grimble King". They appreciated your generosity in giving them signed copies of your stories, too. Thanks for a wonderful musical afternoon.†Rowena Burke, Children's Librarian, Newport Public Library “Wow! It was great! For the next week, one of our 4 year old couldn’t stop talking about the Grimble King…. I think the parents enjoyed it as much as the children. Donna Delahanty, Children’s Librarian.
