THE WORLD OF OWLS
Program Category
Animal Programs
Audience Age
Recommended for Ages 6 & up.
Owls are not evil spirits, kindly philosophers or cuddly Walt Disney creations. They are superbly equipped nocturnal hunters. This program shows how owls use their specialized powers of sight, hearing, and flight (The owls are never flown during the program) to survive and thrive. A wealth of fact, fantasy and folklore about these mysterious nocturnal hunters explains the natural and the unnatural history of owls, sorting out myth from reality. 5 LIVE owls of different species, along with 1 diurnal raptor provide the focus for this presentation.
