Irish-born folksinger Tom O'Carroll takes a musical journey that traces the history of the Irish people from the Stone Age to the present. Drawing on archaeological data, historical records, as well as music and song, Tom explores the broad social and cultural themes of conflict and identity that occur throughout his native country's history. In this presentation, Tom performs various songs, tunes and little known anecdotes that bring to life the story of the Irish.

"He was a wonderful presence in the folklore class. Those who saw his performance the night before were especially impressed with the way he made the songs come alive." Betsy Delmonico, Professor of English, Truman State University, Missouri.
