My name is Ed Popielarczyk. I am a professional magician, balloon sculptor, and storyteller. I have been entertaining children and family audiences for over 30 years.

My magic show is a comedy show that uses a lot of audience participation. The kids are the stars because they make the magic happen. I usually have lots of trouble! I don't just do a trick. I tell a story that revolves around each trick. It may be a short story or a longer one, but each story helps to bring the trick together. I sometimes use puppets in my show. Every child who comes on stage to be a helper receives a souvenir magic wand! The show is appropriate for ages three and up.

With the balloons I make hundreds of items such as hats, animals, airplanes, cartoon characters, flowers, motorcycles, etc.

I also teach magic, juggling, and balloon sculpting for children. The workshops last approximately one hour. Kids love to learn and my workshops are always very popular. I have held workshops for libraries, park and recreation departments, after school programs, teen centers, and birthday parties.

In my magic workshop we talk about presentation as well as the mechanics of each trick. The necessary props the kids need can easily be found, usually at home. In a balloon-sculpting workshop we talk about balloon safety first. Then I teach the kids how to make assorted animals and hats. In the juggling workshop I teach the kids how to juggle three balls. I also bring in assorted juggling props for the kids to try. Some of the props are devil sticks, diablos, scarves, and clubs. Everyone will go home with a set of juggling bean bags.
