Description

Drum Circles are a perfect fit for the 2008 "Wild Reads" Summer Reading Program.

DRUM CIRCLES are completely interactive events. I share fun songs and rhythms, body percussion and percussion instruments from many cultures, including Africa, South America and Asia.

Fee
$450. Fee reduction for Block Bookings. Mileage fee not included in fee. I am willing to negotiate base fee because I know that drumming is beneficial for all communities. RESIDENCIES also available and are a good way to reduce cost.

any size from 2/3 to 200/300 or more

Program Length
varied lengths from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours

Facility Requirements
open spaces (many seating options can work) that can accommodate group sizes from 2 to 250 (or more).

WHAT IS A DRUM CIRCLE? A “Drum Circle” is a highly interactive group who gather to play drums and percussion instruments together and create in-the-moment music. With playful and accessible songs, rhythm activities, games and ensemble pieces, DRUM TO THE BEAT drum circles encourage creativity, teamwork, active listening and communication. They are just plain FUN! No age requirements. No experience necessary. "You have a HeartBeat. You have rhythm. YOU CAN DRUM!"
