Makerspace Aide, Memorial Hall Library (Andover)
Are you a creative, techy, outgoing, and organized person looking for a year-round part-time job? Memorial Hall Library is hiring a 13-hour per week makerspace aide. Hours are Mondays, 5pm-8pm, Fridays, 1pm-4:30pm, Saturdays, 8:30am-1pm, and one morning a week TBD, 11am-1pm.
Responsibilities include:
*Assisting patrons with projects from initial concept to final product
*Training patrons to use all makerspace equipment, including safety protocols
*Operating, maintaining, calibrating, cleaning & troubleshooting makerspace equipment
*Tracking consumables & requesting more when appropriate
*Explaining library policies
*Performing related duties as required
Qualifications
*Proficiency with various hardware & software such as 3D printers, cutters, poster printer
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Excellent computer skills
*Strong interest in DIY making
*Ability to work independently
*Commitment to doing all work through a lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism
