Weekend/Evening Supervisor, Salem State University Berry Library (Salem)
The Frederick E. Berry Library at Salem State University is seeking a temporary part-time Help Desk Evening Supervisor. This individual will assist library patrons, assist with the supervision of student employees, and help oversee the evening/weekend operations of the library facility. The individual must be able to work at least 15, but no more than 29 hours per week. This is a temporary contracted position, but the position has the potential for renewal.
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, with in-person responsibilities, which may require occasional/frequent/regular work on evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Previous experience working in positions that require attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
Must be self-motivated and highly responsible, with the ability to work successfully with minimal supervision
Ability to deal politely and tactfully with students, staff, faculty, and public patrons
Ability to develop the skills required to supervise student employees
Must be able to commit to evening and weekend availability
Preferred Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Experience in libraries, bookstores, or retail establishments a plus
Desktop, laptop, and office equipment troubleshooting
