Administrative Assistant II: Technical Services, Belmont Public Library (Belmont)
Due to an internal promotion - the Belmont Public Library is seeking applications for the position of Administrative Assistant II for Technical Services. This position focuses on a variety of duties in receiving and processing new materials including data entry, bar coding, affixing markers and related duties prior to circulation. In addition, this role prepares codes and enters invoices for payments to be paid by the Town weekly as well as separates codes and distributes invoices to proper authorities. They will use the Town Financial System to monitor and update department budget during invoice processing.
The work is performed under the supervision of the Coordinator of Technology & Technical Services. Strong customer service skills required. The hours for this position will be Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
This is a full time 35 hour per week position covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the Service Employees International Union. The starting hourly rate is $25.4795 and qualifies for the Town’s comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation, sick, personal and holiday leave.
Qualifications
This position requires a High School diploma with one-year library experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job. Applications will be acted upon as they are received.
