Library Associate (Media Specialist), Holmes Public Library (Halifax)
The Media Specialist Library Associate is responsible for creating and distributing marketing materials for the library, managing the monthly Library newsletter, managing the library website, creating the library calendar, and managing the library social media accounts. The Media Specialist Library
Associate is also responsible for assisting with the circulation of library materials.
This is a 20 hour per week non-union benefited position.

Qualifications
BA/BS required. Public library experience preferred. Strong public service and organizational skills, knowledge of and experience with popular media platforms, such as Facebook preferred, knowledge of and experience with using Android and IOS devices, knowledge of computers and computer
programs such as, WordPress, Canva, Library Aware, and other emerging technologies.
As a condition of employment, the employee must pass a CORI check.
