Library Director, Leach Library (Londonderry, NH)
The Leach Library Board of Trustees is seeking a new Director for its busy, mid-sized library in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The Library Director reports to the Boards of Trustees and works with a management team to facilitate, for example, personnel supervision, collection development, and programming for all ages.
Londonderry is renowned for its excellent school system, proximity to a range of recreational areas, and for its warm and friendly community. Serving a population of more than 27,000, the library has an annual budget of over $1.6 million.
The job of Library Director is a full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt position with a hiring range of $95,035.20-$105,000, commensurate with experience, and includes excellent benefits outlined in the Leach Library Personnel Policy. This is an in-person position.
Qualifications
Master's Degree, MLS, or MLIS preferred from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school, plus five years experience with at least three years supervisory/management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential skills include excellent internal and external communication that inspires the community and motivates the dedicated staff. Previous experience with unions, strategic planning, and capital projects is highly desirable. A complete job description is available at LondonderryNH.gov.
