Library Assistant RPT Gr.1, Richards Memorial Library / Town of North Attleboro, MA (North Attleborough)
Due to a retirement, the Richards Memorial Library has an opening for a part-time library assistant. Duties include patron assistance at the circulation desk, checking materials in and out, helping patrons find library materials, showing the public how to use the online catalog, helping patrons use e-content on their devices, shelving materials and shelf-reading for accuracy. Other duties as assigned.
Circulation staff work 4-hour shifts on a 2-week rotating schedule. The shifts for this position are as follows:
Week 1: Monday 4:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday 1:00pm-5:00pm, Thursday 1:00pm-5:00pm & Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm
Week 2: Monday 4:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday 9:00am-1:00pm, Thursday 1:00pm-5:00pm & Friday 1:00pm-5:00pm
Qualifications
Friendly, approachable, professional. Excellent customer service skills. Library experience as an employee or a patron. High school graduate or equivalent required.
