Legislative Agenda

The MBLC works with library organizations and librarians across the state to develop its yearly legislative agenda. The agenda is used to inform state legislators about funding priorities that impact library services for all residents, and serves as a guide for MBLC staff and the library community.

The legislative agenda may focus on funding needs and the state budget process, or specific MBLC program areas such as the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program, bolstering statewide library services, or the Board's support for the use of technology in libraries.
