Library Director, Haston Free Public LIbrary (North Brookfield)
The Board of Trustees of the Haston Free Public Library, North Brookfield, MA, is seeking an experienced, talented, and resourceful leader to serve as its next Library Director.
Under the direction of the 7-member elected Board of Trustees, the Director oversees the daily operations of the Haston Library and exercises authority with regard to personnel, financial management, strategic planning, building management, collection development, library technologies, programming, and community relations.
The ideal candidate is community-oriented, forward-thinking, comfortable with technology, and has a personable, positive disposition. The Haston Library is known for its warm and welcoming staff, who are dedicated to offering an outstanding library and serving our community of 4800 residents by providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of two (2) years professional experience, one (1) year of which should be in an administrative or supervisory capacity, preferably in a public library environment
Minimum of two (2) years of previous public library experience strongly preferred
