Part-Time Academic Library Technology Assistant, Northern Essex Community College (Lawrence)

The library seeks a person who has educational technology experience and is comfortable assisting students in an in-person help-desk environment.
Duties for this position include:
-Assist students with technology related questions
-Provide in-person, online, phone and email assistance to students, staff, and faculty
-Serve as a resource for students and staff working with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, and other educational software
-Present a welcoming, pleasant demeanor in a busy public services position
-Record and document computer lab usage statistics
-Use independent judgment and work effectively as part of a team or individually
-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-One (1) year experience in an academic setting
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
-Strong customer service skills and a willingness to assist others
-Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:
-Ability to work independently or with limited supervision
-Academic library experience
-Experience using the Blackboard LMS in an academic setting
-Understand and have experience with academic technology and tools such as printers, copiers, scanners, and other information sharing devices
-Background in libraries or coursework in an information science program is strongly desired
-Experience using an Integrated Library System
