Computer Coordinator, Holyoke Public Library (Holyoke)

This position plans, implements, and maintains the Library’s automated systems and services, staff and public access computers and devices. This position serves as systems administrator for the library’s local area network, including maintenance, security, backup, upgrade, and development. This position is the administrator for the Library’s web site.


Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; Two years experience in Computer Technology and Support; Microsoft Windows and Office experience; prefer A+ and Net+ certification; understanding of Library operations and service mission, including experience with automated circulation systems.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill:
Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, knowledge of how computers work and working knowledge of printers and printer networks;
Ability: Ability to train others and provide user support, analyze and problem solve, ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at one time. Self starter who can work with minimal supervision;
Skill: Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, operates computers systems efficiently, diagnoses operational problems, and respond to user technical assistance requests.
