Marketing Librarian, Wilmington Memorial Library (Wilmington)

Wilmington Memorial Library is seeking a creative and enthusiastic candidate to fill a full-time Marketing Librarian position responsible for creating and coordinating marketing initiatives and developing promotional materials and messages that enhance a broad-based community awareness of library services.  Duties include designing a quarterly events brochure, flyers, website banners and other visual communication materials as well as engaging library users on social media to communicate the library’s message. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in community outreach, planning new services and working in a team oriented friendly environment.  In addition, regular shifts on the information desk are assigned.  

Schedule is 35 hours per week with one regular evening shift per week and every third Saturday. Complete job description available on Town of Wilmington website.


Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with either a Master’s Degree in Library Science or a combination of  relevant education and experience.  Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop) is required.  The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong multitasking abilities, a keen eye for detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to take initiative. Must be a flexible team player with a positive attitude and good customer service sills.

$55,490-$70,218 effective July 1, 2020
