Media Integration Aide, Greater Lowell Technical High School (Tyngsborough)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Plan with administrators and faculty on the use of the Library computer areas and scheduling of their use
•Assist students and teachers on an individual basis.
•Make recommendations and arrange for procurement of equipment, software, and related technologies for the use of the 
        resource center
•Maintain discipline of students at all times in the LMC and immediate areas outside of LMC
•Assist with the In-Service training to faculty and administrators
•Assist in the integration of the computer and instructional technologies into all areas of the school curriculum
•Ensuring that all equipment is properly inventoried and maintained.
•Managing the facilities, equipment, software and documentation available for students and teachers
•Assisting in the integration of the computer resource center into the operation of the media center including media/video retrieval 
         applications
•Collaborating with the IMC staff on school-wide activities including video projects; identification Badge system; and other 
         IMC/Professional Development initiatives
•Install/Instruct teachers on how to use the document cameras
•Maintain SMART Software portal, inventory, and renewals
•Make recommendations and arrange for procurement of equipment, software, and related technologies for the use of the 
         resource center
•Monitor and respond to appropriate Media Requests from staff and teachers using Google Forms
•Monitor Library Media Request Forms and troubleshoot/assist teachers and staff with equipment and software issues
•Participate in planning and presentation of Professional Development regarding use of media equipment, instructional software 
        and apps in the classrooms and shops
•Plan with administrators and faculty on the use of the computer labs and scheduling use
•Process payroll when Secretary is out
•Responsible for the daily maintenance of computer and instructional technologies in the Library Media Center and attached 
        computer labs
•Take photo I.D.’s of staff or students as needed. Responsible for printing and distributing upper class IDs during the first week of 
        each school year and for scheduling CTR classes to take pictures of all freshman, print, and distribute their IDs
•Update and maintain DEVOS video content system and categorize accordingly
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree or higher
Experience working with high school students and faculty required
Experience with Windows operating systems, internet, instructional software and hardware, electronic databases, online services, and multimedia applications required
Google Suite experience preferred
SMART Notebook experience preferred
