Teen Librarian, Woburn Public Library (Woburn)

The Woburn Public Library seeks a Teen Librarian with creativity, technological savvy, and a firm belief in the importance public libraries play in the development of children and teens.  Flexibility, organization, and self-motivation are necessary qualities.  Must be a team player who adapts well to change, is a self-starter, has a solid foundation in teen development, knows trends in the field, and is adept at partnering with schools, agencies, and organizations to offer strong collections, services, and programs.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to collection development, cataloging, programming, marketing, outreach, and overseeing the daily operations of the Teen Room.

The Woburn Public Library, designed by H.H. Richardson, is a national historic landmark built in 1879.  It boasts a state-of-the-art new addition which is an architectural marvel.  The newly renovated space opened to the public in March 2019.  The library houses Woburn Public Library’s first Teen Room, which is adjacent to a high-tech Maker Space.  We are in an exciting time of transition and adapting to the new reality of the current pandemic.  This provides great opportunities for innovative ways to serve the community.
