Children's Services Administrator, Auburn Public Library (Auburn)

Are you interested in joining an evolving, highly functioning three-member management team at the Auburn Public Library in the role of Children’s Resources Administrator?  If you have the following credentials and experiences, are a team player, have supervisory experience, and enjoy working with the public, with special emphasis on children, we invite you to apply for this administrative position.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited institution and a minimum of two years’ progressively responsible experience in a public library is required. The ideal candidate will also bring the skills or potential and desire to learn: program design and assessment; collection development and analysis; cataloging and budgeting; and offer excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills, high level of accountability, the ability to work effectively in an often fast-paced collaborative environment, commitment to outstanding patron services, experience with Evergreen ILS (preferred), and expertise with Microsoft Office technology, skills are also desired. Enthusiasm for cross-training in all Library operations is also required. This position may lead to an Assistant Director for the right candidate.
