Senior Library Assistant - Youth Services, Boyden Library (Foxborough)

The Boyden Library is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Library Assistant for our Youth Department. The Senior Library Assistant will provide efficient service to patrons of all ages while collaborating with the Youth Services Supervisor to deliver resourceful materials, information, programs and services.

Duties include but are not limited to: Customer service at the Youth Services Circulation Desk, providing Reference and Readers’ Advisory to patrons, cataloging Children’s Print and Non-Print materials, offering direction to Library Assistants regarding Circulation Policies and Procedures, performing Story Time and other related programs, and performing other related duties as required.

Minimum of six months public library experience required (Youth Services preferred), High School Diploma, Knowledge of basic Library routines, experience with automated Library systems, excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential.

Salary Range

$21.18 - $26.85  / hour

Salary Notes

$21.18 to $26.85 per hour in twelve (12) steps.
