Professional Librarian/Information Services, Tewksbury Public Library (Tewksbury)
If you are energetic, patron-focused, organized and want to be a member of a great team of library staff members, we want to talk to you about becoming our Information Services Librarian. This position is supervisory and administrative and performs professional work in planning, organizing and coordinating all information services for adults. We're looking for a good communicator who is efficient and a forward thinker who wants to work in a supportive environment providing assistance to patrons and staff alike.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position including evening and weekend shifts. Benefits include paid sick leave, vacation; contributory health, dental and life insurance.
Qualifications
MLS degree from an ALA accredited library program; two (2) years of library experience and formal training in Reference; demonstrated competencies in technologies used by libraries or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Organizational skills and effective communication skills are required. Training or experience in the conservation of archival materials is welcomed. Candidacy for Massachusetts Certificate of Professional Librarianship is required.
