Library Assistant, Boston Arts Academy (Boston)

Seeking a library assistant to work 20-25 hours per week to assist in the Boston Arts Academy High School Library. Hours available are between 11:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, 9:30am- 2:30pm Friday.

Tasks include shelving, processing new books, assisting students with homework, computers, and printing, creating book displays, facilitating circulation, and other technology maintenance and troubleshooting. Other duties as assigned.

This position is great for individuals seeking experience in a school library setting and who aren’t shy about interacting directly with students. We are a small library, and everyone does a bit of everything, so it’s an exciting opportunity to get experience in all parts of how a library works. We are also moving into a new building and library space immediately in September, so the team will be establishing the library in its new space, a rare opportunity to learn and experiment with library design!
