Makerspace Coordinator, Concord Free Public Library (Concord)

The Concord Free Public Library is seeking an innovative and outgoing leader with strong interpersonal and technical skills to manage our new makerspace.  This position is responsible for managing daily operations of The Workshop, the library’s makerspace, including supervision of volunteers and staff. Candidates must have good judgment, decision-making, supervisory and organizational skills, while also being creative, open-minded, and able to adapt to change and new situations. Thorough working knowledge of makerspace and STEAM principles, as well as proficiency with digital design and fabrication tools and processes is required. ♦       Any combination of education and experience that provides the ability to perform functions is qualifying.  A typical example of this is: Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, education, applied arts, or related field plus a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in educational programming or technology instruction, including supervisory experience.

♦       Proven successful experience in science/STEAM education with a solid foundation in science, engineering, and/or math; Experience with audio and video recording equipment and software including Adobe Audition and Premier.
