Librarian Grade 2 - Copy Cataloging & Processing Assistant, Worcester Public Library (Worcester)

This is a paraprofessional position reporting to the Head of Technical Services, under the general direction of the Head of Access Services. This position assists with all operations related to the processing and copy cataloging of library materials as well as the circulation of library materials while delivering an excellent customer service experience. The ideal person in this position will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills and have experience working with diverse populations in an urban community.

Schedule will include evenings and weekend hours, and working at other locations as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

● One (1) year of data entry experience and/or community public service work, such as library, book store, or equivalent. Specific courses that have hands-on experience may be substituted for work experience.

● Ability to successfully pass CORI/SORI

● Reliable transportation to travel between locations
