Assistant Library Director/Outreach Librarian, Turner Free Library (Randolph)

The Assistant Library Director/Outreach Librarian provides professional library and managerial services in a diverse community to patrons of all ages, but especially adults and older adults. This position plans and leads adult and senior programming, develops and sustains relationships with community organizations, helps to manage the library’s technology and digital services, and assumes management responsibility for overall library operations and personnel in the absence of the Library Director. The Turner Free Library is in the process of acquiring a brand new, state-of-the-art bookmobile/STREAM (science, reading, technology, engineering, arts, and math) lab, which the Assistant Library Director will oversee. The Assistant Library Director works with a high degree of independence and will need to exercise considerable judgment, develop rapport with library patrons, and supervise and support library staff. 

This is a 35-hour work week, exempt, non-union position; some nights and weekends are required.
