Adult Services Librarian, Wilbraham Public Library (Wilbraham)

The Adult Services Librarian, under the general direction of the Library Director, is responsible for planning, selecting, coordinating, delivering and evaluating all library services and programs for adult patrons. Participates in collection development, at the circulation desk and provides reference services to library patrons; develops contacts in the community to foster good public relations; coordinates an outreach program to homebound residents and nursing homes; prepares publicity materials for the library and manages social media content; coordinates use of the  meeting facilities, requests interlibrary loans; provides back-up staff support in other functional areas of the library, such as children's and teen's services, circulation, book drop, or technical services as needed, etc.  35 hours per week, some evening and weekend work hours are required 

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Library Science from a program accredited with the American Library Association and 1-3 years of experience in library services, preferably in a public library, required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent customer service skills.
