We’re seeking a friendly, patient, service-oriented self-starter. We're looking for someone who cares about accuracy, is enthusiastic about technology, and has excellent communication skills.  Customer service experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities will mainly focus on reference desk coverage and technology troubleshooting for patrons and staff in all library departments. Reference desk hours will include helping patrons with computer basics, printing, copying, faxing, and, of course, finding books, as well as helping to maintain the library’s busy Makerspace. In-house technology help includes set up and maintenance of staff computers and troubleshooting circulation equipment such as self-checkout and receipt printers.

This opening is for a 15 hour/week position and will require Thursday evenings and some Sunday afternoons.  The start date will be the week of August 14th, 2023.

Demonstrated knowledge of computers, including Windows, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and email; ability to do basic online research; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing; ability to multitask. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment, and be at ease with interruptions.

Passionate about technology!
