Deputy Director of Borrower Services, Worcester Public Library (Worcester)
The Deputy Director of Borrower is a professional, supervisory position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Worcester Public Library’s Circulation and Periodicals departments. The position, under the direction of the Director of Library Operations, has the responsibility of all activities and functions dealing with the circulation of materials and related services, including developing and implementing policies and procedures related to circulation, patron registration, record keeping and revenue collection, and training throughout the library system. Schedule will include evenings and weekend hours, working at multiple locations as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE
· Master’s degree in Library Science from a Graduate School of Library Science accredited by the American Library Association or approved by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
· Five (5) years of professional library work experience after receipt of MLS that includes public service responsibilities, of which three (3) years must be in a supervisory capacity in a library setting
· Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel to required locations.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to successfully pass CORI/SORI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Working knowledge of Evergreen software.
· Three (3) years successful experience in the supervision and management of staff in a public library setting
