Digital Services Librarian, Watertown Free Public Library (Watertown)
The Watertown Free Public Library is looking for a Digital Services Librarian. Our busy mid-sized library serves a diverse population of people with a broad catalog of needs. In a given day visitors might ask for directions to a local concert, help requesting scholarly books for a term paper, computer troubleshooting, lessons on downloading ebooks, and recommendations for the best current mystery. In addition to answering those questions, this position is responsible for keeping current on library trends, evaluating and recommending new technology, and maintaining digital content.

You will be considered for this job if you are you are a librarian with an MLS and you have strong customer service experience. Your experience can be in a library, a bookstore, a restaurant, etc., but you must be able to demonstrate experience providing solid, people-focused service.
We welcome new graduates and seasoned librarians. Those who are bilingual/multilingual librarians or from an immigrant background are strongly encouraged to apply.
This is a full time (37 hours) union position. Benefits include healthcare, retirement, paid holidays, and generous sick and vacation time. The work schedule includes two nights a week and a Saturday rotation. Starting salary is $57,673.15. Full salary range is $57,673.15 to $68,924.76.

Qualifications
ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science and minimum one year relevant experience working with digital media preferred; or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education which provide the following skills, knowledge and experience:
• Experience with subscription-based and streaming media resources
• Experience with web Content Management Systems
• Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in a Windows environment and with MS Office applications.
• Experience with developing and delivering in-person library instruction and reference services in a public library setting.
• Interest and competency in website user experience
• Interest and competency with learning new technology
• Familiarity with platforms and equipment used to host digital collections or digital exhibits
