Network Cataloger, Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (North Andover)

The Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) is a member-driven library network serving 36 public libraries in the Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts. We are seeking a detail-oriented librarian with advanced technical services experience to join our team as a Network Cataloger.

In this role, you will perform original and copy cataloging using applicable (RDA and LC) standards and controlled vocabularies (primarily LCSH). In addition to performing cataloging duties, this role includes maintaining our bibliographic database and providing exceptional help desk support to member library staff. • ALA accredited MLS
• Knowledge of current national cataloging standards
• Knowledge of cataloging and classification systems
• Experience with automated database use and management
• Two years public library cataloging experience
• Minimum of one year's experience with OCLC searching and editing
• Experience with MarcEdit desired
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with training or instruction preferred
• Attention to detail

$56,403.00 - $75,549.00  / year
