Position Summary
Bancroft School seeks an energetic, flexible, innovative Middle School/Upper School librarian to join our service-oriented, student-centered library and educational technology program that is fully integrated into the school. This position will be part-time for 20-25 hours/week with schedule flexibility. Collaborating with the Lower School Librarian, this position helps to oversee engagement in the Library for students and faculty, manage the overall library budget, and administer digital resources related to the library and educational technology. The MS/US Librarian works in collaboration with academic leadership and faculty to foster professional growth opportunities for faculty in the areas of educational technology, research, and literacy while working to support student growth and development in the areas of research, information literacy, and recreational reading.

● Support faculty professional development in the areas of research and educational technology.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
● Masters of Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
● Experience working in a middle school and/or high school setting.
● Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
● Understanding of and experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices that create a library culture where all are welcome.
● Partnering with the Academic Leadership Team and Department Chairs to help identify needs, priorities, and best practices in instructional technology and to help shape a mindset about educational technology that is equitable, empathetic, and flexible.
