Information Services Librarian, Sharon Public Library (Sharon)
The full time Information Services Librarian works under the general direction of the Head of Adult and Technology Services Librarian and Library Director. Duties may include: assisting and training patrons in the use of resource materials, e-readers, online databases, readers’ advisory services and emerging technologies. This position may participate in the development and maintenance of the adult services collection with other Information Services Librarians as assigned. Provides training and assistance to patrons in the use of computer equipment including the print and patron management software. Plans, organizes and conducts adult programming in technology and other performance-based programs. Other responsibilities may include grant writing, participation in strategic and action planning preparation and reporting. Other related duties as required.

Qualifications
MLS from an accredited Library School. Prior experience working in a public library setting preferred. Experience with computer information technology and networking. Experience with e-readers, online databases and other current technologies. Knowledge of Sirsi/Dynix a plus. Excellent customer service and computer software skills. Ability to work as a team player in a busy setting.
