Graduate Librarian I-IV (Young Adult Librarian), Palmer Public Library (Palmer)
The Palmer Public Library has an opening for an innovative individual to provide reference assistance, collection development, and programming for young adult patrons. Must also work shifts at public service desks and help patrons of all ages as part of a team committed to exceptional patron service.
This Young Adult Librarian position requires excellent communication skills, including meeting with patrons, parents, and educators to provide quality library services to an often underserved population in our community. We are looking for a librarian eager to collaborate on projects with other library staff, especially the Youth Services Librarian and Tween Services Librarian, and to engage in outreach to students, teachers, and community organizations in our area.

This is a full-time position (35 hours/week). Hours include one evening per week and occasional Saturdays. Additional evenings and Saturdays may be required to meet programming needs.
Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience. Full benefits as a Town of Palmer employee. This is a bargaining unit position in AFSCME Local 1364.
Qualifications
Requires an American Library Association-accredited Master of Library Science degree.
Preferred qualifications: 1 year of library experience with a focus on public service, especially service to young adults and youth.
