Information Services Librarian, Morse Institute Library (Natick)
The Morse Institute Library has an opening for a dynamic and enthusiastic Information Services Librarian. The Morse Institute Library is a library with strong community support in the town of Natick.
This is a librarian position that offers a lot of latitude for growth. There are many available opportunities for the right candidate to support and grow the position in new and exciting directions both inside the physical library, and out into the Natick community.
Under the supervision of the Info Services Supervisor, the Info Services Librarian helps to plan and oversee services for adults, including reference assistance and reader’s advisory, collection management, and outreach. They engage with the community, supporting outreach efforts throughout the library and the Natick community. The work also includes some programming responsibility in collaboration with the Programming Librarian, and staffing shifts at the information desk.
The ideal candidate would have strong technology skills, and familiarity with social media platforms. Bilingual abilities, experience with Springshare apps, Sierra, and/or basic computer troubleshooting skills are a plus.

Qualifications
The Info Services Librarian should have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited institution, and have a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population. In exceptional circumstances, specialized education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for part of the educational requirements.
