The Wellesley Historical Society seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and community-focused professional to serve as the Exhibit and Collections Manager. Position to begin immediately and is open until filled.
The Exhibit and Collections Manager will serve as the Society’s exhibit manager and will be responsible for exhibit research, design, and implementation. Additionally, the Exhibit and Collections Manager will develop lending relationships with local historical societies and museums to enhance exhibits.
Wellesley Historical Society’s collections contain a wide-range of materials, including personal archives, photographs, textiles, objects, entomological specimens, and fine art. As collections manager, the incumbent will maintain physical and intellectual control of the existing collections as well as conduct on-going accessioning. Along with the Executive Director, the Exhibit and Collections Manager will support the Society’s educational programming, and staff the Wellesley History Center upon its completion.
