Assistant Library Director, Tewksbury Public Library (Tewksbury)
The Tewksbury Public Library searches for an Assistant Director to continue to lead and improve library efforts in customer service, marketing, community outreach, and public relations.
The best candidate:
--will have a solid understanding of public library practices, enjoy meeting and working with residents, and enjoy assisting others to use the library;
--can balance the needs of the community and the function of the library while ensuring access and equity, and
--enjoys and wants to take on more responsibility in library leadership and administration.

Qualifications
Candidate for this position shall have a Master's Degree in Library Science from an A.L.A. accredited library school; seven (7) years of progressively
responsible professional experience, with at least three (3) years in supervisory role.
Demonstrated experience supervising, leading and mentoring staff.
Demonstrated competence in technologies used in libraries, outreach to the community, planning, budgeting and public relations; or any equivalent and relevant combination of education, training and experience.
Candidate for or holder of Massachusetts Certificate of Professional Librarianship.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

$76,726.00 - $95,779.00 / yearSalary Notes
