Reference Assistant, BiblioTemps (Wilbraham Public Library) (Wilbraham)

Title:            Reference Assistant 

Location:     Wilbraham Public Library (Wilbraham, MA)

Position Type: Temporary

Start date:    August 03, 2026

End date:     September 30, 2026

Schedule:    6-11 hours per week; Monday 9AM – 12 PM, Tuesday 5PM – 8PM, Saturday (every other) 9AM – 2PM

Pay Rate:     $20.75  per hour depending on experience.

CORI:           Required

Description:

This position will primarily serve at the Reference Desk and will assist patrons:

·        Help patrons with technology to include computer, wifi, printer and scanner use
·        Provide reader advisory and reference services
·        Check in and out materials
·        Assist with various circulation functions
·        Help with opening and closing of library when needed
·        Assist with special projects as able 
·        Assist with programming as able

Qualifications

Recommended Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a four-year college or university required, with some work in library science.
Experience working in a library preferred.
MLIS Students are encouraged to apply.
