L5 Circulation Manager, Worcester Public Library (Worcester)

The Circulation Manager is a paraprofessional position who will oversee all aspects of the Circulation division including interlibrary loan. This position, under the immediate supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director of Borrower Services, is  responsible for all activity and functions dealing with the circulation of materials and related services, including assisting in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to circulation, patron registration, record keeping and revenue collection, and training throughout the library system. The ideal person in this position will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills and have experience working with diverse populations in an urban community.      

Schedule will include evenings and weekend hours and working at other locations and mobile services vehicles as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE 

·         Bachelor Degree OR,:

o   An equivalent combination of education, training and five (5) years of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered in lieu of the above-mentioned requirements.

·         Two (2) years of experience with personnel  management

·         Two (2) years of experience in a Library setting

·         Ability to successfully pass CORI/SORI

·         Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation to travel between locations

PREFERRED

●        Demonstrated experience with integrated library systems

●        Two (2) years of customer service experience

●        Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a public library
