Reading the Revolution: 250 Years of Incendiary and Insipring Books from the Bay State and Beyond

The Massachusetts Center for the Book (MCB) and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) are pleased to share the Reading the Revolution booklists. This multipart reading list honors the complex history of the American Revolution and our nation's unfolding evolution toward becoming a society where is everyone is truly "free and equal." The reading lists feature recommendations from libraries across the Commonwealth and are now available at massbook.org/ma250.

About Massachusetts250

Massachusetts250 (MA250) is a two-year campaign organized by the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism to commemorate our rich history as the birthplace of American Independence. Libraries are invited to host events and programs celebrating the rich history of the American Revoution, that can be included on the official MA250 campaign website with the Revolutionary Events Submissions Form.
