General Responsibilities: 
The Library Technician performs a variety of customer service and technical duties to support the operations of the Circulation Department. Responsibilities include assisting patrons, managing materials circulation, maintaining patron records, assisting with library technologies, and providing support in accordance with library policies. The role requires a strong knowledge of library systems, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 
High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred. 
Knowledge of library principles and technology skills strongly preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. 
Proficient in library-related software systems. 
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. 
Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with the public and coworkers. 
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
