Library Director, Middleborough Public Library (Middleborough)
The Middleborough Board of Library Trustees is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Library Director to lead the Middleborough Public Library (MPL). This is an exciting opportunity to guide a community-focused library known for digital access, literacy support, and strong community partnerships.
The Library Director will shape the strategic direction, ensure high-quality services for more than 24,000 residents, champion equitable access to information and technology, and oversee all library operations, including budgeting, employee management, and facilities maintenance.
The successful candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of public library and general management principles, collection development, and library technology.

This salaried, exempt position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, including multiple evenings and possible weekend hours. The starting salary will be between $99,683 and $107,495 and will include a comprehensive benefits package. The benefits do not include relocation assistance.
Qualifications
An American Library Association (ALA)-accredited master’s degree in library and information science is required, along with at least five years of progressive experience in library administration.
