Circulation Coordinator, Edgartown Public Library (Edgartown)

The Edgartown Public Library seeks to fill the year-round, full-time position of Circulation Coordinator. Position oversees all aspects of the circulation department including: development and execution of policies and procedures for circulation services in accordance with CLAMS Library Network policies; supervision of circulation staff; scheduling; collection management duties; circulation, AV and reference service provision; statistical reporting; collaboration and communication with other library departments and town agencies; participation in overall planning and coordination of library services.  

Attention to detail, excellent written and oral skills, diplomacy, initiative, organizational skills, and above all a commitment to providing the best possible experience for all library patrons are essential.

Employee may be required to work outside normal business hours at night and/or on weekends.

Demonstrated computer skills and attention to detail in a busy setting are essential. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3-5 years of progressively responsible library experience including supervisory experience; preferably with experience in library circulation control work. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job will be considered.
