Pay Rate: $20.75 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience

Description:
The Town of Medway’s Public Library seeks qualified candidates for the full time (40 hour per week), temporary position of Technical Services Librarian.
Duties:
This position is responsible for processing, organizing, and maintaining the library’s collection, updating holdings in the Minuteman Library Network database (primarily copy cataloging), creating and maintaining statistical reports, and supervising preservation activities. Additional responsibilities include processing ILL requests, and ordering and maintaining office supplies. This position provides services to the public as scheduled, including one Saturday shift per month.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science preferred
· Two (2) years’ experience working in a library environment preferred
· Thorough knowledge of library cataloging, subject analysis and the Dewey Decimal Classification System
· Familiarity with all aspects of library automation
· Broad range of basic computer skills as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new and changing technologies
· Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
· Considerable knowledge of and ability to use reference tools
· Flexibility in emergency staffing situations
