Reference/Adult Services Supervisor, Yarmouth Town Libraries (Yarmouth)
The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a REFERENCE/ADULT SERVICES SUPERVISOR to join our LIBRARY team!
Working under the direct supervision of the LIBRARY DIRECTOR, the REFERENCE/ADULT SERVICES SUPERVISOR plans and implements programs and activities for adults and families. Selects, purchases and maintains the Reference and Non-Fiction collections in all formats. Directs and executes publicity in assigned areas. Performs reference services in person and remotely; provides reader’s advisory services; teaches patrons how to use the library computer catalog and other technical equipment. Organizes and implements all community outreach to individuals 19 years and older.
Position requires at least one evening per week, and rotating week-end hours, year-round.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited school strongly preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a public library, including supervisory experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Driver’s License; must be able to successfully pass a CORI background check.
