Library Director, New Salem Public Library (New Salem)

The New Salem Public Library is seeking a part-time (19 hours/week) Library Director. The Library Director plays an important role in our community by providing programming for all ages and creating a welcoming space for meetings and community happenings in addition to maintaining a well-balanced collection of library materials and technology resources.

Qualifications

Desired Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3 years library experience or and equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Considerable knowledge of the methods of library administration and management:  including personnel, planning collection development, programming, public relations, and budgeting.

Adaptability, initiative, tact, courtesy, and good judgement.
