Library Assistant RPT Gr.1, Richards Memorial Library / Town of North Attleboro, MA (North Attleborough)
Due to external promotions resulting from our excellent training, the Richards Memorial Library has 2 part-time library assistant positions available.
Duties include serving patrons at the circulation desk, checking materials in and out, helping patrons, showing the public how to use the online catalog, helping people use e-content on their devices, shelving materials, and reading shelves. Other duties as assigned.
Circulation staff work 4-hour shifts on a 2-week rotating schedule. All circulation staff work at least one evening shift and every other Saturday.
The shifts are as follows during the library's regular schedule: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Specific schedules will be provided during the interview process.
Qualifications
Friendly, approachable, professional.
Excellent customer service skills.
Library experience as an employee or a patron.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
