Action Plans

What is an Action Plan?

Think of your action plans as the simplified, task-oriented version of your strategic plan. An action plan only needs to list a library's objectives and specific actions related to those objectives that will be worked on in the upcoming fiscal year. To be effective, action plans should be consulted regularly and updated annually.

You can develop an action plan update after reviewing your strategic plan and identifying specific actions that will assist you in meeting your stated goals and objectives.  Action plans are for a specific time period.

LSTA Eligibility

To be eligible for LSTA grants, a library must submit an action plan update by the deadline for the fiscal year of the coming grant round.

For example:

On or before December 4, 2018, a library submits an update for fiscal year FY 2020 (July 2019 through June 2020).
