Youth Services Librarian, Curtis Memorial Library (Brunswick, ME)
Curtis Memorial Library is seeking a creative, energetic professional who enjoys working with children and their families, is self-motivated, and embraces innovation and experimentation. This position provides a range of customer-focused library services for youth within the library and out in the community.
Primary responsibilities include developing educational, entertaining, and enriching programming, assisting children, teens, and caregivers at the youth services desk, and participating in collaborative planning and projects with colleagues and the community. The successful candidate will have proficiency with digital literacy, a working knowledge of a variety of youth literature, and experience working with children and teens.
Position is full-time (35 hrs/wk) and includes some evening and weekend hours. MLS degree, or degree pending in 2025, required; public library experience preferred.
